Options Trading - Daily Range of AAPL $AAPL

For options trading, today was a great day to bet on or against AAPL.  The stock traded between $112.75 and $115.75, which means big price swings in its options.

For the January 2, 2015 options expiring in AAPL, ones with a strike price of $120 are trading at around $1.20 per contract.  This is a great way to bet on the stock if you think it is heading higher in the short term.

I am long AAPL.

  1. Nice Piece of information… I would like to add something for the non-native user Options are commonly known as "derivatives" because the options trading market is a market which is "derived" from another market. The most commonly known options are derivatives of the share market, but you can also have options on commodity futures such as gold, silver, sugar, wheat or pork bellies, or on other financial instruments such as currencies. The market is based purely on supply and demand, which means the prices rise and fall according to market sentiment… Thanks
